ARTICLE SUBMISSION

HealthWisc Monthly encourages the submissions of articles. But, it is important that the articles do not show bias or favoritism towards the submitting party. In order to keep editorial integrity, the following guidelines must be agreed to before acceptance of a submission.

1. The article must not include references to the advertiser or be promotional in nature.

2. The advertiser cannot make inclusion of the article as part of an advertising package.

3. The publisher can edit the article in accordance with space or content considerations.

4. Mistakes, omissions or technical errors within the article by the publisher will have no impact on any advertising agreement between HealthWisc and their advertisers.

5. Articles not up to our standards will not be run.

6. We will not guarantee particular placement or inclusion of stylistic elements such as pictures, graphs, charts etc.

7. Lewis Media Group has the right to use the article for HealthWisc Monthly newspaper, HealthWisc Monthly website and other media outlets affiliated with Lewis Media Group for perpetual use at no charge.

It is important that we keep editorial neutrality to maintain credibility within the community. 

Please do not ask us to bend these rules to help promote your products or services.  If we did this for everyone, we would not have credibility with our readership and the editorial content would gradually be diminished to a point where our readers would not trust the information presented.

Also, please do not be offended if your article cannot be run due to quality considerations. Articles pertaining to common sense issues such as how to take care of a cold or using proper sunscreen may not contain enough new information to be deemed useful to our readers.

Also, please do not ask us to fax you our layout or be subject to your design restrictions. We will do everything in our power to accommodate the look and layout of your ad, but the story content and layout is not subject to advertiser approval and we are very firm about that.

Thank you for adhering to these guidelines and not asking us to compromise our editorial integrity.  We hope that you understand that we will be able to provide a much better product if the editorial part of the newspaper is autonomous from the advertising part.

We will format all headlines, etc. Please do not pre-format the articles with special bullets, type faces and graphics. All this does is cause for more mistakes when the article is printed.
